Nepal hosted its first Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championship Qualifier in Lalitpur, marking an important moment for the country’s cycling scene. The event was organized by Velosolutions, Pump for Peace, the UCI, and supported by the Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Riders from Nepal, Japan, New Zealand, Denmark and other nations took part.

In the Elite Men’s category, Tetsuya Furuno of Japan took the win. Alexandra Hickling of New Zealand topped the Elite Women’s field. Nepali riders also showed strong form throughout the day, gaining valuable experience against international competitors on home ground.
