It was December 2022 when my brothers and I set out on an exciting mountain bike adventure to explore the virgin trails of Upper Mustang, Nepal. Loaded in a 4x4 pickup with four mountain bikes, we reached Kalopani the first day. As we explored Mustang and rode down the mountains, each day felt like a new adventure, and little did I know fate had something extraordinary in the days ahead.

Our daily drill was simple yet thrilling; one of the guys from our team would drive us to mountain passes where we unloaded our bikes and rode down the trails. We rode some major high points like Choku La, Karki La, Ghami La, and many more.
But on the eighth day, something unexpected happened that tested my patience. I was descending from Mui La; the Sun was right above my head. I was speeding down a rocky part, and a disaster struck as my tire blew in the scorching heat. Though I had tubeless tires, the sealant leaked, making it impossible to ride.

I saw my life flash before my eyes, knowing that my bike could not be fixed there. I used my walkie-talkie to call for a rescue sitting alone in the middle of nowhere. I was scared and unsure waiting for the rescue. Lost in my own thoughts, I realized how small we truly are against nature. Finally, I saw our pickup coming, and felt a huge relief. I loaded my bikes into the back, and we drove to Chusang for lunch.

Looking back, I realize that the real thrill of exploring comes from facing uncertain situations and tackling them. This journey taught me to be calm even in challenging situations and find beauty in every moment. It left me with unforgettable memories and a deep desire to go out and explore more every day
